Posts to the tribute of Sr. Barbara Conroy, SC

I just learned of Barbara's death. I lived with Barbara for several years at St. Joseph Convent in Paterson, NJ. She was also my principal when I taught English at St. Joseph High School. She was a remarkable woman! She was charismatic, fun to be with, had a good sense of humor and had such high energy! She had a diversity of interests and was an extremely competent woman. She was very involved in the civil rights movement and many of us attended meetings with her in Paterson in the late 1960s. She also inspired many of us to march in Newark for civil rights after so much destruction had occurred. I feel fortunate to have known such an extraordinary woman and will always remember her with fondness.
