I'm so sorry for your loss.
I have known Barbara for many years. We both live in Jackson Heights.
I first met her at Espresso 77, a neighborhood coffee shop. where we had a knitting group once a week. I also have fond memories of driving with her to programs at the Central Queens Y. Afterwards, we, of course, had to stop at the local frozen yogurt store before going home. Before the pandemic we had had a number of outings.
We moved the knitting group to Zoom after the pandemic and Barbara often joined us. Sometimes it was a battle between Barbara and the computer. Occasionally, after trying to help her, we would tell her to ask Craig! There were many times when Barbara won and the computer gave into her, and she was able to join us with very few problems.
She kept us apprised of Elissa and Craig and, of course, Rebecca and Sam, and we loved hearing her stories. She was very proud and loving of you.
The pandemic was hard on her, as for many of us, and in person get togethers were put on hold. At least once a week we could see each other on Zoom.
Thank you so much for letting us (the knitting group) know about her passing.
Eileen
