We met Betty for the first time in 2012 when we were visiting the USA. Betty was the grandmother of Zara who lived with us in Holland because of our daughter Nienke. They were married in Holland and we travelled to the USA to meet Zara's family. We stayed in Betty's house for a few days and enjoyed her hospitality. Dear family, you had to let her go, but in your hearts she lives on. Eisso and Jannie Boelens, Bedum Holland.

It was such a gift to get to know Betty. She enriched our souls with recounts of her life experiences and unselfishly sharing her professional expertise in birth control. We admire her so much and will miss her terribly.
