Sincere condolences to Anne's family. She was such a sweet person. I was friends with her brother Paul and his wife Blanche. We would often talk after the 5:00 mass. I will keep her and all of you in my prayers.
I am very sorry for your loss Your mom was a very sweet kind woman who always took time to talk and ask about my dad. May your many wonderful memories ease your pain
Colleen(Mitchell) Kloss
Mary,Rich and family I just heard this sad news. so sorry for your loss. She was one of the sweetest people I have ever known. I worked with her on the election polls for many years. I will never forget her.
Lake Hiawatha has gained a saint in heaven today. My amazing grandma has filled my life with endless love and compassion for my daughter and I, and true kindness that will never be matched. Our tradition of Sunday dinners will continue, but the silver top star at the table will be truly missed. Our Lake Hiawatha Dairy trips will not end, as grandma has started a family pastime that my mom, my daughter, and I will always cherish. Time is the most precious commodity that we all take for granted. Grandma was so fortunate to have more than most. Her time was dedicated to love, family, and most important to her, God. Her example of simplicity, graciousness, and loyalty are forever the example I wish to follow for however much time I am allowed. My daughter and are are both saddened deeply by this loss, but so happy we were given so much of that precious time to spend with her. I love you grandma, and like you told me, you know.
There isn't enough space on this page to capture the life of my grandma. 93 years young, full of vigor and life, a life wonderfully spent with family, friends, and God. Every school concert, play, graduation, track meets, year after year, for me, my 3 brothers, and then the great grandchildren came! She wouldn't miss any! She was involved with all of our lives intimately. She was truly the foundation of our family. We lost grandpa when we were young. She showed us strength and dedication. She carried herself with pride, poise, and distinction. She also never put up with shenanigans! She always kept our family close and was always there when you needed her. For the past 43 years of my life, I always knew I had a second home at grandma's. With her passing, all of the small things become so significant. The little things we will all miss, from watching Jeopardy and Wheel-of-Fortune, to reading the jokes together in "Our Town" and lunches at IHop. Her faith was unbreakable, her devotion to God unmatched. Her role as a matriarch in our family will never be forgotten. But we all will forever have the bonds she created, the family values she instilled, and the love for family and God ingrained in our hearts and actions. I love you grandma. I hope you know how much you truly meant to all of us.
May the road rise to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
The rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of his hand.
I remember I couldn't say great grandma, so I named her GG. I'm so happy that my daughter got the chance to meet her and give her an extra G. We love and will miss you GGG. With love from your family in Colorado.
Anne monahan aka my gg was the star of our family she brought all of us joy and happiness. I Madison was her first great granddaughter, she loved me at first site. We had so many fun days and sleep overs. We'd go to McDonald's with all her church friends for breakfast and tell funny stories, we'd laughed till it hurt. She was always happy always vollentering and always very helpful. She peacefully passed with a smile on her face. Im happy she is no longer suffering, she fought long and hard. Rest well GG. We all love you!
