Arlene Twas a great friendship spanning over 60 years between our parents. Yes many many memories Not sure what got into my father that visit driving like a madd man. Remembering when turning we had to tell him Bernie's side or Kitty's side so he knew which direction LOLOL Yes feeling many hugs of support. Looking forward to seeing this and the upcoming Mac's generations on my next visit home.

I loved Miss Kitty’s home made Irish soda bread. Her daughter Theresa whom I worked with for years would bring them in to the office every St. Patrick’s Day. They were delicious! We would have it along side of the corned beef and cabbage we would bring in. Miss Kitty was a kind, caring, generous person and will be truly missed.

Paula, Thank you for your kind words. Yes those St. Patrick's Luncheons were a favorite office event. Remember I had to ask her to make two breads. Have the recipe. Will attempt to make one. Doubt it will have the same taste though.

Sis, An amazing bond was formed on my mom's 1st day at the factory your dad worked in. I use to love hearing your dad mimic my mom saying "I'M IRISH TOO" Not sure where or how Kitty lost her Irish brog. LOL So many memories spanning a friendship over 60 years. Now the foursome is reunited. Hope they are sitting at a Heavenly table laughing & catching up. I know they are looking out for us and happy this bond continues with their children.

Patricia, Thank you for your kind words. Mom loved when you stopped by her table during your visits there. Yes she was fortunate to make friends there, I always appreciated the crew chatting with Mom. I will come back time to time for different events. Seriously was extremely happy she found a place where she felt at home and not lonely.

Chloe, Yes I am sure she had an amazing journey most likely escorted by my dad to the grand reunion of all in Moyney. In her later days she often talked of her childhood adventures with your Granddad and Aunt Tess. She also loved seeing the pictures of Rio and yourself & AM that you kindly sent to me. And yes I am to proud to be descended from this amazing strong heritage.

Kitty, as was introduced to her as was my beloved roommate Teresa Hynes elder dearest sister, along with Kitty’s lovely daughter Theresa who then of course was Teresa’s niece and namesake. We all became friends, they visited when they could, to Teresa’s delight. I feel with Kitty reunited with Teresa l have two angels looking after me. Kathy, Thank you for your kind words about the two Bourke Ladies. WE always loved seeing you during our visits. You were a good friend to my Aunt Teresa. Please know how much that was appreciated as she was not alone. They often spoke about their childhood home and the adventures they got up too. This made me laugh. I like to picture them now walking around the fields of Moyney maybe still stirring up trouble. LOL Yes you certainly have two special Angels looking out for you now.

Shelia, Was so happy when Bernie discovered the Tara Deli. He was in his element. It became his version of Cheers, To our delight your family welcomed us with open arms. Yes a long friendship with many laughs and a few tears. And by sheer chance you were in Alaris when she arrived. It was nice for her to see a familiar face. And knowing you had her back was a comfort to me. Yes Mom will be missed, but my only solace is that my parents are reunited again.

Daryll. Want to thank you for all the kindness you showed to my mom during her time there. You always made sure she was okay. And yes she thought you were an employee there. One day she asked if I had some money because she wanted to give you a tip. LOL She enjoyed being in the activity areas talking with you and teasing Valerie about James. All of you guys never made her feel like she was alone. For that I am extremely grateful. You will always hold a special place in my heart.

My family knew Mrs Daly as Kitty. Kitty was a lovely person and dear friend of my parents. I remember Bernie and Kitty sitting with my parents at our kitchen table laughing and having a great time together. She will not be forgotten.
