Q: How did you meet David?
A: David and Masha were my neighbors in Montville,NJ. When I was running late, David would always pick up Betty and Michelle from school, feed them and even help with homework. I used to interact with Masha mostly, but when she passed away, David and I found solace in exchanging our dating stories and we have been friends since 2022. I called him on Jan 4th, 2025 and he didn't pick up, so when I heard from my daughter that he passed away ,and found this obituary, heaviness settled in my heart. I lost a friend and I am sorry that Eric lost a father. He talked to me often about Eric, how proud of him he was, always boasting about Eric's accomplishments, He also shared not so happy parts, the distance he felt as Eric was living far away, the loneliness he felt due to not finding a partner. David talked about his happiness to be retired, that he enjoyed walking an aging neighbors dog on a daily basis as exercise, he loved cooking. He was looking forward to moving to 55 plus community, but now he is going to be at a place he will always find peace and that's with Masha that he loved till his death.
