Herb and I became friends with Pat and Hank shortly after we married Soon we were camping, canoeing, at blue grass festivals and hiking the Long Trail in Vt. And yes skiing and more skiing. Every weekend in Vt. in Hank's van. Pat and Hank taught us how to ski and also taught my sons Bill and Kevin. Along with Hank's brother Dee and Ann and Rody we spent many wonderful days on the slopes. In later years we had many fishing trips on the "Catch 22" We always spent Christmas Eve and birthdays together. I hope that Hank is fishing and skiing with Pat and Dee and Herbie.. Growing up with my best friend Sarah (Hank's loving niece), Uncle Hank was a great presence. Whether he was visiting or stories were being told about him, he was always around and a huge part of Sarah and Elizabeth's lives. This remained throughout his life and his nieces were there through it all. He was deeply loved by them and will be missed. May he rest in peace with Aunt Pat.

I have many fond memories of Uncle Hank, especially spending weekends skiing in Vermont and spending summer weeks on Long Beach Island when my girls were young. He was always full of energy and loved spending time with his nieces. He truly loved "his girls" and when they were little, he would love to spend time on the beach or go camping in Rhode Island. I remember one Memorial Day weekend when we were camping and it was freezing! We all hopped in Hank's van and drove, with the heater blasting, to Mystic for a little reprieve from the cold. We will miss you terribly, Uncle Hank. May you rest in peace.

Q: How did you meet Henry?
A: Hank was my neighbor for as long as I have been in the apartments. He has watched my children grow from babies to adults. I will remember the conversations we (Hank, Pat, and myself) had just standing in our doorways. He was the most thoughtful, kindest person and I could not have asked for a better neighbor. I will miss him. R.I.P.
