Obituary of Arjun G. Shivdasani
Arjun G. Shivdasani passed away peacefully Friday morning, February 7, 2025 at Sunrise at Mountain Lakes, surrounded by his loving family. He was 97.
Born in Hyderabad, India, Mr. Shivdasani had lived in the United Kingdom many years before immigrating to the United States in 1979, settling with his son in in Brookline, MA. He came to Mountain Lakes in 2022.
He earned his Bachelor's Degree from Bombay University, India, and his Master's Degree from the University of Bermingham, England.
Mr. Shivdasani had been as successful businessman and the owner of Johnson Plastics in Bombay, India, before his early retirement at the age of 52.
A devoted husband, father and grandfather, Arjun was preceded by his beloved wife of 59 years, Shanta (nee Advani) Shivdasani in 2014; and his dear brother, Indru Shivdasani.
He is survived by his two cherished children, Sonali Thadani and her husband, Goel of Morris Plains, NJ, and Dr. Ramesh A. Shivdasani and his wife, Lisa of Brookline, MA.; four grandchildren, Sonesh Thadani, Nikhil Thadani, Amar Shivdasani, and Shaan Shivdasani; and five great-grandchildren, Sonia, Jet, Soren, Bodhi and Kal.
Funeral Services and cremation were held on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at Rosedale Crematory, Montclair
