Obituary of Audrey L. Gorlich
Audrey L. Gorlich passed peacefully on March 2, 2025. She was 73 years young.
Born to the late Weldon and Doris (nee Anderson) Gorlich, Audrey was one of five children. In 1982, she married Walter Zemlanicky and they settled in Denville where they raised their daughter. Audrey was always busy with activities. She loved creating beautiful flower arrangements, table scapes, cooking and baking. She could always be found crafting, perfecting meals or creating a new project.
Outside of her own home, Audrey donated her time and talents to many organizations through the years. She was a proud Rotarian, a committed member of Gift of Life, NJ,and volunteered with the Jr. Women’s Club in Jefferson. Most recently, she joined Lasagna for Love. She found every opportunity she could to give back and “do for others”. Her last act of service was donating her organs to NJ Sharing Network.
Her love and spirit of volunteerism will be remembered for years to come.
Although her devotion to others brought much joy, her greatest joys were certainly her grandchildren and (grand) nieces and nephews. She was a doting Grandmother and Great Aunt and relished in the kids’ accomplishments and activities. There was nothing she wouldn’t do for her family and friends. We know she is looking down and watching over all of us with love and pride.
She leaves joyful memories to her husband Walter Zemlanicky of 42 years; her daughter Alycia Nigro and her husband Rich; her step sons Walter Zemlanicky and his wife Patricia and Brian Zemlanicky and his wife Janelle; her grandchildren Harper and Cade Nigro, Jack, George, Colin, Ava and Jake Zemlanicky; her siblings Glenn Gorlich (Mary), Bernadette Mehnert (the late Mike), Wayne Gorlich and many dear nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Her sister Gaynor Groome passed before her.
Private funeral arrangements were held under the direction of S. J. Priola Parsippany Funeral Service. Donations in Audrey's memory may be made to the good work of Gift Of Life, NJ or Lasagna Love.
