Obituary of Padmini Persaud

Padmini Persaud passed away suddenly Sunday, March 16, 2025 at Morristown Medical Center. She was 69.

Born in Bush lot, Guyana, Padmini immigrated to the United States in 1988, settling in Morristown, NJ.

Ms. Persaud earned her Bachelor's Degree in Economics from the University of the District of Columbia and her Master's Degree in Information and Telecommunication Systems from Johns Hopkins University.

A financial analyst, she was employed by Douglas Elliman Property Management in New York, NY for 10 years, retiring 3 years ago. Previously, she worked in the same capacity at Fannie Mae of Washington, DC.

Padmini was a cherished sister and aunt; she was devoted to her family, and her favorite pastime was being in their company.

Preceded in death by her beloved parents, Madanpaul and Sirimattie Persaud of Guyana; she is survived by her eleven siblings: Hamlet Persaud, Sandra Seeley and brother-in-law Robert Seeley, Indira Yacoob and brother-in-law Dr. Mohamed Yacoob, Omesh Persaud and sister-in-law Rosetta Rachpaul, Saty Jagdeo and brother-in-law Pooran Jagdeo, Seeta Ruggiero, Deoprakash Persaud and sister-in-law Kimberly Persaud, Krishnadatt Persaud, Anita Ramadhar, Vishwanath Persaud and sister-in-law Sabrina Persaud, Andy Persaud and sister-in-law Diane Persaud; numerous nieces and nephews: Ryan Persaud, Jennifer Lucas, Sonya Yacoob-Hidar, Ruth Persaud, Priya Jagdeo, Pavita Jagdeo, Ushvani Jagdeo, Noel Ruggiero, Joseph Ruggiero, Julia Ramadhar, Vivita Ramadhar, Ray Ramadhar, Brian Persaud, Shivani Persaud, Chaytan Persaud, Aiden Persaud; and great-nieces and great-nephews: Dane, Leila, Aadya, Leonardo, Lorenzo, Adelina; and many cousins throughout America, Canada, the Caribbean, and Guyana.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation and services on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at the Good Shepherd Church, 321 Minebrook Road (Route 202) Bernardsville, NJ. Visitation will begin at 9:00am. Services will commence at 10:30am. Cremation will follow at 12:30pm at Somerset Hills Crematory, Basking Ridge.
