Obituary of Priscilla Faustina

Priscilla Faustina (nee Soranno) passed away peacefully Tuesday afternoon, April 22, 2025 at Morristown Medical Center in Morristown, NJ. She was 87.

Born in Passaic, NJ, Priscilla was raised in Paterson and Clifton, NJ. She was a graduate of Clifton High School. She also lived in Lodi, NJ before coming to the Pine Brook section of Montville Township, NJ in 1965.

Mrs. Faustina had been a customer service representative with Safilo USA in Fairfield, NJ before her retirement 30 years ago. She had also worked as a baker at the Montville High School Cafeteria. 

She was a longtime member of St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church in Montville, where she was active with the parish's Rosarian Society and the Caring Crafters Knitting Group. She was also a member of the Montville Township Senior Citizens where she was revered as the finest coffee and cake cutter.  She also served her community as a dispatcher with the Montville Township Volunteer First Aid Squad. 

Priscilla was devoted to God and family. She prayed the Rosary daily and loved her family with all of her heart. Her happiest times were when she was in the presence of her children, grandchildren, family and friends. An avid baker, Priscilla never hesitated to welcome a new friend, host a celebration or lift spirits with a homemade creation. Her home was always a place of warmth, love and on any day 10 desserts.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 65 years, Richard J. Faustina in 2023, and a beloved daughter Linda Ann Faustina. Survivors include her three loving children, Lisa Schofield of Toms River, NJ, Karen Murphy and her husband, Sean of Dripping Springs, TX, and Michael Faustina and his wife, Karen Lynne of State College, PA; a dear brother, Joseph Soranno and his wife, Margie of Toms River, NJ; and her nine cherished grandchildren, Billy Schofield, Andrew Murphy, Justin Schofield and his wife, Frecia, Ryan Murphy, Erin Murphy, Rebecca Faustina-Potter and her husband, Griffin, Jackson Murphy, Samantha Faustina, and Elizabeth Faustina.  She is also survived by a host of dear nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Visitation on Friday, April 25, 2025, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at S.J. Priola Parsippany Funeral Service, 60 North Beverwyck Road, Lake Hiawatha, NJ. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, April 26, 2025, 9:30am at St. Pius X. R.C. Church, Montville. Entombment will follow at Gate of Heaven Chapel Mausoleum, East Hanover.
