I had the privilege and pleasure to work with Eileen, a fellow PA, for many years at SMG. Her gentle spirit and wealth of knowledge made her a wonderful provider and colleague. Generous with her time, she always accepted the students I sent her way lifting up the ones to come behind her. Heaven gained a beautiful angel and I will miss her. O Aunt Eileen! My godmother, my light,
You walked this world with arms forever open,
A wife to Joe, so loyal, so strong—

You, who raised your children with hands of grace,
David, Michael, Danielle—each a living testament—

Aunt Eileen & Uncle Joe came to Nebraska to help support us in getting Henry back. Without asking they were just there.
Aunt Eileen pulled a wood chip out of my knee. I was playing somewhere I shouldn’t have been. She focused on that I was ok. Still got that scar. I hope it reminds me to prioritize what matters.
Aunt Eileen seems so much like Gram her mother. To know or even meet Aunt Eileen is the same as witnessing Gram. Soft spoken. Stops time. Kind. Gracious. Nurturing. Great smile. And laugh. Fun. Welcoming. Grandpa too. Amazingly pure heart. A testament to the Joy of Faith in the Spirit.
Fast driver. We lived together a little while between my family moving. Aunt Eileen took me to work with her in the city. She drove that car like we robbed a bank. AM only radio, so just found something musical and enjoyed it.
She liked to take the stairs. Aunt Eileen heard in school that climbing stairs was good exercise so she took time to do this during lunch at work, and in the house — I’d be watching tv and Aunt Eileen would go up and down the stairs of the split level in Parsippany for awhile. It really made me smile.
Aunt Eileen brought Uncle Joe home. They were very good friends. Happy. They took me to see Gremlins. And they came to visit us in Ohio. Maybe the told my folks they were getting married.
Choosing to keep the Richardson home as the Santaniello home in Parsippany. Very significant.
Aunt Eileen learned to cook so many things just to share joy with others. And was overjoyed to see us.
All the time together picnicking at the lake, Christmas and family reunions in Parsippany, the Shore. The Santaniello home in the Poconos. The Browns home. Aunt Maureen’s home. Uncle Dennis & Aunt Kathy’s home. The Zuber’s home. Aunt Susan’s home. Visiting us and Aunt Nancy in Massachusetts. Always happy and looking forward to see and be with each other.
I feel the same way. Because I’ve always been treated this way. And it’s great having this feeling. Aunt Eileen contributes steadfast love to the fabric of our entire extended family just as she does her own. I’m very appreciative and grateful for Aunt Eileen.
God bless you Aunt Eileen. May we remember you and be filled with your presence.

My sister my friend. A calm gentle voice in the height of uncertainty. We shared a life full of love, joy, laughter and sorrow. Through it all,you were by my side holding my hand,helping me each step of the way. Tying my skates, helping me with my homework, late night talks, cooking lessons, teaching me to drive, standing next to me on my wedding day and sharing our love for our children. Thankyou for your grace, kindness , tenderness and your abundant love for our family. You will forever be missed but, you will walk with us forever with love in our hearts.

Q: What will you miss most about Eileen?
A: I will miss the sound of her voice on our hour plus conversations. I will miss her gentle rebukes when I said something she would never say. I will miss her hugs and her gentle smiles and her laughter. I will miss the girl who became my friend and the woman who was the sister of my heart, who shared my ups and downs and was always there for me. I will miss my BFF. Forever in my heart.

You will always be in our memories and those memories create a safe haven to which we can retreat anytime we so desire. My wish is that we get to know you in a different way and become even closer to you. This would be a beautiful gift and a great blessing.
