Obituary of Jean Semanek
Jean A. Semanek passed away suddenly, Thursday, June 26, 2025 at her Montville Township, NJ home. She was 92.
Born in the very home in which she still lived, Jean was a lifelong resident of Montville.
Miss Semanek had worked as a Dental Claims Specialist with the Prudential Insurance Company at various locations, most recently, Wayne, NJ. She served with the company for over 40 years, retiring 30 years ago.
A member of the Montville Reformed Church, she was a member of the choir as a young woman. She was also a member of the Montville Township Seniors and the Lake Hiawatha Seniors and enjoyed day trips with her friends from the two clubs to various destinations.
Preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Sophia Semanek, and a sister and brother-in-law, Mildred and Edward Deluca; Jean is survived by a loving sister, Eleanor Weissenrieder and her husband, Dieter of Boonton Township, NJ; her cherished nephews and nieces; Edward Deluca, Beth Deluca, Markus Weissenrieder, Greg Jerez, Elisabeth Bennis and Brad Bennis; and four dear great-nephews and nieces, Chris Deluca, and Genevieve, Luke, and Vivienne Bennis.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Wednesday, July 16, 2:00pm to 5:00pm at S.J. Priola Parsippany Funeral Service, 60 North Beverwyck Road, Lake Hiawatha, NJ. A Graveside Service will be celebrated on Thursday, July 17, 2025, 11:00am at the Montville Reformed Church Cemetery in Montville by Pastor Tom Henion.
