Shirley Mutterperl, 101
Shirley Mutterperl, 101, passed away peacefully at Victoria Mews Assisted Living in Boonton, New Jersey on June 30 th . Born on January 6, 1924, in Jersey City, she was the beloved daughter of the late Samuel Zacharow and Esther (nee Goldberg).
After completing her schooling, Shirley married the love of her life, Sidney Mutterperl and together they raised their family in Morristown, NJ. A devoted wife and mother, Shirley was actively involved in her children’s lives and community, always present and participating in their activities.
Later in life, she was overjoyed to become a grandmother to five and, eventually, a great-grandmother to six more precious additions. Shirley found great joy in her family and was endlessly proud of each generation. She also enjoyed lively games of Mahjong and Canasta. She had a passion for keeping up with current events and was always known for her exquisite sense of style. She cherished time spent with her dear friends.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband Sidney and her siblings Leo, Mildred and Roselle. She is survived by her children, Richard Mutterperl (Hannah Rowan), Judith Wyckoff (Garrett), and Mindy Mutterperl (Mitch Ardmann); her grandchildren Rachel (Seamus Dunn) and Aaron Mutterperl (Cindy), Brett (Stefany) and Lauren Wyckoff, and Jared Ardmann, and great-grandchildren Oliver, Dexter, Theo, and Ezra Mutterperl, Eloise Mutterperl Dunn, and Emma Wyckoff. Shirley is also remembered fondly by many caregivers, extended family members, and friends who were touched by her warmth and spirit.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of S.J. Priola Parsippany Funeral Service. The family will be sitting shiva on Thursday July 3 from 6 to 8pm at Victoria Mews Assisted Living, 51 North Main Street, Boonton Twp NJ.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, July 13th beginning at noon at the funeral home.
