Pasquale Dragone passed away Saturday morning, August 9, 2025 at Crane's Mill Assisted Living in West Caldwell, NJ, in the presence of his daughter, Annette. He was 86.
Born in Bernalda, Italy, Pasaquale immigrated to the United States at the age of 15, settling in Union City. He came to the Lake Hiawatha section of Parsippany-Troy Hills in 1965.
Pasquale met the love of his life, the late Carol Ann Columbo in Guttenberg, NJ. They were married on May 5, 1962, beginning a love story that would last for 49 years until her untimely passing on December 30, 2011.
Mr. Dragone learned the trade of carpentry as a young man in Union City. He was a longtime member of the Local # 6 Hudson County Carpenters Union for many years before his retirement. Not one to sit idle, Pat knew the value of a hard day's work and loved to work with his hands. He spent his down time building homes.
He was a longtime member of St. Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church in Parsippany.
Preceded in death by his loving wife Carol Ann Dragone in 2011; and subsequently, his cherished daughter, Patricia D. Abrantes in 2016; Pasquale is survived by his beloved daughter, Annette Pacelli and her husband, Rich of North Caldwell; his dear son-in-law, Mario Abrantes of Parsippany; his four adored grandchildren, Richard A. Pacelli and his wife, Deena, Gina Abrantes and her husband, Jared Chmielnik, Mario Abrantes, and Gionna Tsounakis and her husband, Dimitri; and his first great-grandchild, Cohen Chmielnik.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation for Pasquale on Friday, August 15, 2025 from 4 pm to 7 pm at S.J. Priola Parsippany Funeral Service, 60 North Beverwyck Road, Lake Hiawatha, NJ. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, August 16 at 10:00am at St. Peter the Apostle R.C. Church, Parsippany. Entombment will follow at Gate of Heaven Chapel Mausoleum, East Hanover.
In lieu of flowers, the family would be grateful for memorial gifts to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
