Obituary of Veronique Ullal

Please share a memory of Veronique to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Veronique Ullal (nee Breda) passed away suddenly on Saturday morning, September 6, 2025 at her Montville Township, New Jersey home, at the age of 68.

Born in Poitiers, France, Veronique came to the United States in 1975 at the age of 18. She resided in Morristown, NJ before permanently relocating to Montville, NJ in 1995.

Veronique initially worked at Linguassist in Morristown for over a decade, then as an IT Manager with Bell Laboratories in Berkeley Heights until 1996, before taking time off to raise her family of one son, and two daughters. She subsequently was a business owner along with her family, owning More than Mailboxes in Harrison, NJ and Breda's Pizzeria & Grill Restaurant in Lake Hiawatha, NJ until her retirement.

In her younger years being an avid athlete, she participated in several sports and was a Green Belt competitor in Tae Kwon Do. An animal lover, especially of cats, Veronique supported animal shelters and adopted many stray and rescue cats over the years.

A kind and generous person, she was an advocate for people in need and volunteered with Grace (a food distribution organization for the less fortunate) in Summit, NJ. During the Covid crisis, her family-owned restaurant, Breda's, prepared and distributed over 24,000 meals to those in need in the Parsippany, NJ community.

Veronique radiated warmth and acceptance, making everyone feel at ease. She was intriguing in nature with a unique, adventurous and endearing spirit, the kind that left a lasting impression on everyone she met. With a natural sense of humor and a caring heart, she was both funny and deeply loving.

Veronique is survived by her loving husband of 29 years, Sudhir Ullal; a beloved son, Philippe Cardona of Tallahassee, FL, two cherished daughters;  Stephanie Cardona and her husband, Christopher Calveley of Summit, NJ and Mikaila Anne Ullal of Montville, NJ; her dear mother, Nicole Henderson of Poitiers, France; her adored grandson, Tobias Duran-Cardona of Summit; and her three siblings, Alain Breda of Myrtle Beach, SC, Valerie Henderson of Montville, NJ, and William Henderson and his wife, Ann of Maplewood, NJ, as well as several nieces and nephews; not forgetting her beloved cat Tiago. Veronique was preceded in death by her father, Marco Breda; and her sister, Claudine Henry.
