Obituary of Indira H. Patel

Indira H. Patel (nee Amin) passed away Tuesday evening, October 14, 2025 at her Parsippany-Troy Hills, NJ home surrounded by her loving family. She was 84.

Born in Virsad, Gujarat, India, she immigrated to the United States in 1991 settling in Nutley, NJ. She had also lived in Clifton, NJ before coming to Parsippany.

Mrs. Patel was a homemaker; a cherished wife, mother and grandmother.

Preceded in death by her three siblings, Minaben Patel, Rameshbhai Patel, and Pareshbhai Patel, she is survived by her beloved husband of 63 years, Hasmukh M. Patel; three devoted children, Bina Patel and her husband, Vijay of California, Nipa Mahida and her husband Raj of Clifton, NJ, and Tapan Patel and his wife, Falguni of Parsippany; as well as five cherished grandchildren, Jiten, Hiral, Maitry, Avi, and Kush.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Viewing and Puja Funeral Service on Saturday, October 18, 8:00am to 9:30am at S.J. Priola Parsippany Funeral Service, 60 North Beverwyck Road, Lake Hiawatha, NJ. Cremation will follow at Rosedale Crematory, Montclair, NJ.

The family cordially invites everyone to join them for a luncheon celebrating Indira's life following the services at 11:30am at Tandoori Flame Restaurant, 1557 Route 46 East, Parsippany, NJ 07054.
