Marie is about eleven years older than I am and we are distantly related. She called my parents Aunt Evie and Uncle El and I called her parents Aunt Ann and Uncle Andy. Her father was my mother’s brother, Otto's wife, Chris’ half-brother. What does that make us? Dear friends and family by choice.
I was unable to contact Marie by phone for a long time until she finally was able to call after moving to Florham Park. She was SO GRATEFUL to her friends who moved her. I was unaware until yesterday that our brave girl, Marie had passed-though not surprised as she heroically wrestled failing health.
Marie was an accomplished seamstress, a Daddy’s Girl; a caring and devoted daughter to both parents; a loving and devoted mother to her son, “Little Andy”; a smart cookie in her positions as legal secretary; and an extremely wise, quick-witted friend who listened and supported 110%. I’ll fondly remember our trips to Seaside Heights and several NJ locations and boat trips on her Dad’s big ocean boat with “Little Andy” splashing around with killies in his swimming pool on the boat deck.
Marie’s generous, giving spirit has been welcomed in Heaven by her father, mother, many relatives and Aunt Evie and Uncle El.
