Obituary of Theresa Breslin
It is with deep sorrow we announce the passing of our Dear Theresa (with an ‘H’) around the dawning of the day on December 27, 2025.
Theresa was the third child born to John and Mary (Egan) Breslin who preceded her in death.
Theresa resided in NJ for most of her life. She was a 1974 graduate of Clifton High School and went on to attend Pratt Institute (1975-78) to pursue a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. Although she did not finish out her BFA, her creativity and artistry is personally cherished and enjoyed by those of us honored to know her.
Professionally, Theresa held various positions, notably she worked for Panasonic, St Joseph’s School of Nursing and Englewood Hospital. Eventually, Theresa finished out her working career at Pitney Bowes Presort Services in Pine Brook NJ as a Senior Client Account Manager, retiring in March 2024 after 19
years of service.
Theresa was our unapologetically independent and feisty sister. She was genuinely interested in people and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed traveling, exploring and experiencing the local cultures. Unfortunately, chronic illness in her last years prohibited her from these endeavors.
Theresa, your creativity, humor, thoughtfulness and generous spirit will be forever missed by those of us who knew and loved you. There are many memories woven into the strands of your ‘life tapestry’ and we are privileged to have journeyed with you. You have ventured on now and arrived at your Way Over Yonder. We love you!
Theresa is survived by her siblings: Kathy (John) of Ireland, Maura of VT, Brian (Yvette) of PA, and Eileen (Tom) of NJ. She was preceded in death by her brother Sean (NJ) and her nephew Bernie (PA) She is also mourned by her nieces and nephews and their families along with many cousins and friends both in Ireland and the USA.
The family will gather to celebrate her life and drink a Dr Pepper in her honor on her birthday in June.
