Nelli Kalihovsky, 87, of East Hanover, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on January 30, 2026, surrounded by her family and devoted bernadoodle, Winston. Born on October 13, 1938 in Odessa,cUkraine. 

Nelli was known for her kindness, intellectual curiosity, vibrant spirit, and dedication to her family and friends. She was an extraordinary thinker and accomplished chemist, including during her time at Colgate-Palmolive.

She found great joy in reading, art, music, and spending time with her loved ones and helping others. Her home was always filled with warmth, laughter, and food/chocolate/candies for everyone.

She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Victor; daughter, Lily, son-in-law, Michael, and her granddaughter, Jane. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Lev, sister, Zhenya, and niece, Marina.

A celebration of life will be held on February 1, 2026 at 1pm ET at Stephen J. Priola Parsippany
Funeral Service . Friends may begin gathering at 12:30 pm.  Burial to follow at Cedar Park Cemetery, Paramus, NJ. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to plant a tree in Israel.
