Obituary of Rosalba Moraga

With heavy hearts we share the passing of Rosalba Moraga.  

Rosalba Moraga, 104, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of faith, resilience, and unconditional love.

She was born on November 15, 1921, in Quillota, Chile, to the late Juana and Leticia Roa. In her early years, Rosalba married Evaristo Moraga, and together they began building a beautiful family. Tragically, with ten young children to care for, her beloved husband was killed in an automobile accident. Faced with unimaginable loss, Rosalba persevered with remarkable strength and grace. With the loving support of her dear family, she devoted herself fully to raising her children.

Rosalba was a woman of deep and abiding faith. Her trust in God guided her through life’s greatest challenges and joys. She made certain her children had everything she could give them—most of all her steadfast love, strong values, and roots they could always be proud of. Her home was grounded in faith, sacrifice, and devotion.

In 1977, Rosalba immigrated to the United States, where she continued to nurture and grow her family. She was blessed to see 25 grandchildren born and raised, as well as 26 great- grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren who brought her immeasurable joy. Her greatest happiness came from watching
generations of her family thrive, knowing the foundation she built would endure.

Rosalba’s life was a testament to courage, faith, and the enduring power of a mother’s love. Her strength shaped generations, and her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 14th at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred
Heart and Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 4 Richards Road, Dover, NJ. Burial will follow
at Restland Memorial Park, East Hanover, NJ.
