Obituary of Wit T. Waligora

Wit T. Waligora, also known as Vito, passed away suddenly, Wednesday evening March 4, 2026 at his Parsippany, NJ home. He was 59.

Born in Bielsko-Biala, Poland, Vito immigrated to the United States in 1991, settling in Newark. He subsequently moved with his family to Parsippany, NJ.

Vito earned his Bachelor's Degree from The University of Agriculture, Lubin, in  Zamosc, Poland in 1990. He met his wife Violet in school; they were married in 1990 and enjoyed 35 years of marriage together. 

Mr. Waligora was the co-owner of A+ Violeta Cleaning Services of Morris Plains, which he operated with his wife.  He was a parishioner of St. Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church in Parsippany. 

Vito found joy in simple moments with his family, always spotting the wonder in everyday life. He loved traveling across the U.S. with his wife and kids, discovering new spots together. A true movie and TV fan, he’d keep up with the latest shows to watch alongside them, and he’d dive into fiction books, getting lost in imaginary worlds while listening to classical music. He’d have a blast playing board games like Catan with the kids, trying new foods whenever he could, and sharing an unbreakable bond with his foster dog Oakley—they were inseparable. Above all, nothing beat his time in the garden with his wife, where he had a real gift for turning the ordinary into something beautiful. Through it all, he lit up everyone around him with his great sense of humor, carefree spirit, and endlessly loving and generous heart.

Survivors include his loving wife of 35 years, Violet S. Waligora; two beloved sons, Kevin V. Waligiora and Eric T. Waligora, both of Parsippany, NJ; his mother, Janina Zulawaska of Poland; and his sister, Katarzyna of Poland. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Thursday, March 12, 2026, 5-9pm at S.J. Priola Parsippany Funeral Service, 60 North Beverwyck Road, Lake Hiawatha, NJ.  The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, March 13, 2026, 11:30am at St. Peter the Apostle R.C. Church, Parsippany. The Mass will be livestreamed on the parish website https://saintpetertheapostle.org 

Cremation will be private. 

In lieu of flowers, the family would be grateful for memorial gifts to Brain and Behavior Research Foundation.
