Obituary of Manikant B. Bhagat

Manikan Babarbhai Bhagat passed away peacefully Monday morning, July 13, 2026 at the home of his son in Parsippany-Troy Hills, NJ. He was 97.

Born in Godhra, Gujarat, India, Mr. Bhagat lived most of his life in Gujarat, India before immigrating to the United States in 1998 and settling in Parsippany, NJ to be near his family. He was very proud to have become an American Citizen.

Mr. Bhagat earned his degree in electrical engineering while living in India. He had worked as an executive engineer with the Gujarat Electricity Board for many years before retiring 39 years ago.

Preceded in death by his loving wife, the late Shardaben Bhagat, he is survived by his two sons, Jitendrakumar of Parsippany, NJ and Naresh Bhagat of Lake Hiawatha, NJ, his two daughters, Ranjan Vaishnav of Massachusetts, and Shashi Tailor of Illinois, eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Puja Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, 100pm at the Rosedale Crematory Chapel, 408 Orange Road, Montclair. Cremation will immediately follow.
