In Loving Memory of Indumati Thakorbhai Desai

January 8, 1934 – July 30, 2026

It is both with heavy hearts, yet hearts full of her love, that we announce the peaceful passing of
our beloved Indumati Thakorbhai Desai at Lakeland Healthcare Center on July 30, 2026, at the
age of 92.

Indumati was a woman of remarkable kindness, wisdom, intelligence and grace. She dedicated
much of her life to education as a teacher, sharing not only her knowledge but also her patience,
compassion and love with the many students whose lives she touched. She believed in the power
of learning and in the importance of treating others with kindness and respect.

To her family, she was so much more than a teacher. She was a beloved mother, grandmother,
great-grandmother and a source of strength, guidance and unconditional love. Her gentle spirit,
warm heart and wise words will forever remain a cherished part of the lives of those who knew
and loved her.

Indumati is survived by her son, Bharat Thakorbhai Desai, his two sons and spouses; her
daughter, Neela Kirit Vashi, her husband, Kirit Maganlal Vashi, their son and daughter and their
spouses. She was also a proud and loving great-grandmother to five great-grandchildren, who
brought immense joy to her life as she did to theirs.

Her family will forever treasure the memories of her loving presence, her wisdom, her strength
and the countless lessons she shared throughout her life. Though she is no longer with us, her
legacy of love, kindness and knowledge will live on through the generations she helped shape.
She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered and forever cherished in the hearts of her
family and all those fortunate enough to have known her.

May her soul rest in eternal peace.
