Obituary of William Joseph Vasquez

William Joseph Vasquez passed away Friday, May 3, 2024 at St. Clare's Hospital in Denville, following a sudden illness. He was 65. In his untimely death, he gave the gift of life by being an organ donor. Born and raised in Astoria, Queens, NY, he was a longtime resident there before coming to Parsippany-Troy Hills, NJ in 1990. Mr. Vasquez earned his BA in economics from Pace University of New York in 1980. He was currently working as a sales associate with Tru-Green Chem Lawn of Denville, NJ. Previously, he had worked as a car salesman with various car dealerships, including Lynn Nisson and Nielsen Dodge, and had co-owned Post Net Packing and Shipping in Denville, NJ with his wife, Madeleine. William was a member of St. Christopher R.C. Church in Parsippany, the National Rifle Association, and was a former member of the Denville Rotary Club. He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Madeleine R. Meyer-Vasquez; and his two beloved children, Morgan E. Vasquez of Jersey City, NJ and Robert J. Vasquez of Parsippany, NJ. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Marie Isabel (nee DeSoiza); and a brother, Joseph R. Vasquez. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Sunday, May 5, 12:00pm to 4:00pm at S.J. Priola Parsippany Funeral Service, 60 North Beverwyck Road, Lake Hiawatha, NJ. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, May 6, 2024, 10:00am at St. Christopher R.C. Church, Parsippany. Private Entombment will follow at St. Michael's Cemetery, Astoria, NY.
