Obituary of SISTER MARGARET ROSE McCARROLL

Sister Margaret Rose McCarroll, a Sister of Charity of St. Elizabeth, passed away Saturday morning, March 23, 2013 at Saint Anne Villa, Convent Station, NJ at the age of 93. Sister Margaret was born in Brooklyn, NY, the daughter of Ambrose and Mary Scanlon Mc Carroll. She entered the Sisters of Charity on September 8, 1941 and was a member for 71 years. Sister Margaret graduated from the College of St. Elizabeth, Convent Station, NJ with a B.A. Degree in Music; and, an M.A. Degree in History from Seton Hall University, South Orange, NJ. Sister Margaret served in the education ministry in New Jersey as a teacher at the Academy of St. Aloysius, Jersey City; Marylawn of the Oranges, South Orange; and, St. Mary of the Assumption, Elizabeth. Sister retired to St. Anne Villa, Convent Station, NJ in 2007 where she resided until her death. She is survived by the Sisters of Charity of Saint Elizabeth.
