Obituary of MARGUERITE A. GERBASI

Marguerite Adelaide Gerbasi (nee Bjornsen) passed away Saturday afternoon, April 20, 2013 at St. Clare's Hospital in Denville. She was 98. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was a lifelong resident before moving to Parsippany in 1996. Mrs. Gerbasi was a graduate of the Drake Business School. She served as a nurse's aide at the Lutheran Hospital in Brooklyn during World War II. She had worked as a clerk with the Irving Trust Company in New York City, retiring in 1980. Subsequently, she was a clerk for the City of New York, and was a beloved caregiver for the St. Peter the Apostle ECHO Program. She was preceded in death by her husband Victor Gerbasi in 1980. Survivors include her loving daughter, Theresa Mascia and her husband Jim of Parsippany; and four grandchildren, Gina Marie, Jim and wife Stephanie, Joh-Michael, and Elizabeth Mascia.
