Theodore S. "Ted" Kelczewski, age 94, of Lake Ariel, Pennsylvania, formerly a resident of Lake Hiawatha,N.J., passed away on May 1, 2013. Ted was the beloved husband for 54 years of Alice, who predeceased him in 2001. He is survived by his son Frank and his wife Barbara, of Lake Ariel, Pa., his daughter Joan Malacrida and her husband Louis of Bloomingdale N.J, granddaughters Jessica Malacrida and Kristan Fish, her husband Bryan and great grandson Bradley of Maryland. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Stanley Kelczewski, Joanne McCurdy, and Edward Kelczewski. Ted was born in Brooklyn, New York on November 27,1918 and graduated from Brooklyn Polytech High School. He served as a first sergeant during WWII in the Pacific theatre. He worked for the United States Post Office, was an avid Mets fan and enjoyed playing pool. Prior to moving to Lake Ariel, he was an active parishioner at St. Peter the Apostle Church in Parsippany, N.J.
