Obituary of HERBERT MICHAEL STARR

Herbert M. Starr, "Herb", 59 of Parsippany, died Friday morning, June 14, 2013 at Morristown Medical Center following a courageous battle with a long illness. Born in Passaic, Mr. Starr was a longtime resident of Parsippany. He earned his BA in business from Montclair State in 1975. Mr. Starr was a relocation specialist with Realogy in Madison for the last five years. Previously he had worked as a consultant in information technologies with various companies. He volunteered as a coach with Par-Troy Little League East, was a member and past president of the PHS Diamond Boosters Club, and had been a Cub Scout Leader with Pack 177, all in Parsippany. He was preceded in death by his mother, Emily (nee Cheskes) Starr. Survivors include his wife, Cheryl (nee Tucker); his two sons, Jeffrey Starr and Adam Starr of Parsippany; his father, Jonathan Starr of Wayne; two sisters, Ellen Goldman of New York and Lynda Schnier of Alabama; his parents in-law, Ron and Jo Ann Tucker and a sister-in-law, Karyn Hansen all of Wisconsin, and several nieces and nephews. Herb was always referred to as "a really nice guy," and will be sorely missed by his family and countless friends. They were responsible for providing Herb with unparalleled care in his final days.
