Obituary of REBECCA A. OSEBRE

Rebecca A. Osebre (nee Mohammed) passed away Saturday evening, June 8, 2013 at the Compassionate Care Hospice at St. Clare's Hospital in Dover. She was 60. Born and raised in the Volta region of Ghana, Africa, she lived in England and immigrated to the United States in 2000, settling in Irvington. She had moved to Rockaway Township 5 years ago. Mrs. Osebre worked as a home health aide with Special Care, and more recently Griswold Home Care in South Orange, before becoming ill. She was a parishioner of St. Clement Roman Catholic Church in Rockaway Township. Mrs. Osebre was a devoted mother who placed her children first and did all that she could to provide an education for each of her children. She was preceded in death by her own parents Yakubu Mohammed and Akosua Mensah in Ghana. She is survived by her husband Peter D. Osebre; five loving children, Brenda Debrah-Afful, Peter Osebre Jr., Harriet Osebre, Anthony Osebre, and Mark Osebre all of Rockaway Township; two brothers, Nana Kwabena Osei and Openi George K. Mensah both of Ghana; and four grandchildren, Brian, Aaron and Tyra Debrah-Afful and Brendan Osebre. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to your local chapter of the American Cancer Society.
