Eugene "Gene" J. McCabe, 87, of Parsippany passed peacefully surrounded by close family on June 24, 2013 at Saint Clare's Hospital, Denville, N.J.
Born August 14, 1925 in Bloomfield, N.J, he was the son of Joseph and Linda McCabe (Van Scotten).
After attending Bloomfield High school, Eugene served as a Navy Corpsman attached to the Marines during WWII.
Eugene is survived by his four children; Ron, Gary, Janet, and Ken and daughters-in-law Susan, Barbara, and Robin. Grandchildren Ryan, Kelsey, Amanda, Patrick, and Nick, and Violet Carbone, his former wife and mother of surviving family members.
