Manuel Hernandez, 81, died Monday morning, July 29, 2013 at the Veterans Administration Hospital in East Orange.
Born in Juncos, Puerto Rico, he had lived in New York and Paterson before coming to Parsippany over 40 years ago.
Mr. Hernandez served in the United States Army during the Korean War.
He had been employed as a plant manager with Achievement Products and previously Tropar Trophy both of East Hanover. He retired 18 years ago.
Mr. Hernandez was devout servant of God, and a member of the Evangel Church of God in Boonton where he served on the finance committee and as an usher.
He is survived by his wife Violet (nee Camacho); four children, Manny Hernandez and wife Linda, Rich Hernandez and wife Gigi, Theresa Hernandez, and April Dessalet and husband John; his siblings, Pablo Hernandez, Haydee Hernandez, Myrna Zaino, and Hilda Martinez; and ten grandchildren, Kristina, Amy, Richard, Paul, Matthew, James, Caitlin, Miranda, John, and Christian.
