Obituary of SUCHITRA KHANNA

Suchitra Khanna, age 82 of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on August 31, 2013. Sue, as she was known to her friends, had a generous and caring spirit and was an inspiration to all those who knew her. Her zeal for life came across in everything she did and above all, she devoted her life to her family and friends. She will be greatly missed. Sue was born October 6, 1930 in India and immigrated to the United States in 1961. She received her Bachelors degree in Biology and a Master's degree in English in India and her Master's Degree in Nutrition from Oregon State University. She worked many years for the Women, Infant and Children program in Indianapolis. After her retirement in 1995, she and her husband, Satya Pal, traveled the world visiting all seven continents. She enjoyed cooking and entertaining, and was an avid card player. She was a beloved mother to her children Rohit Khanna (Teresa) and Rashmi Drummond (Rick), and a wonderful Grandmother to six grandchildren and two step grandchildren. She is also survived by two loving sisters, as well as nieces and nephews in India.
