Anthony J. Fennemore, 82, passed away Wednesday evening, Sept. 4, 2013 at Compassionate Care Hospice in Dover.
Born and raised in Clifton, he was a resident of Montville since 1962.
Mr. Fennemore served in the United States Army during the Korean War.
He earned his Bachelors Degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1962.
Mr. Fennemore had worked as a supervisor with the County of Passaic, Division of Adult Protective Services for 33 years before retiring in 1992.
He was a member and past commander of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Fairfield, various social worker organizations and the Ramapo Kennel Club. He was an owner and breeder of Great Pyrenees Show Dogs and had attended hundreds of shows.
Mr. Fennemore was an avid Giants and Yankees fan, and had never missed a Giants game since the stadium was built. He was also a huge lifelong music lover and owned an extensive collection of music. He loved to travel and had hoped to visit all 50 of the United States in his lifetime. He made it to 47.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Lorraine (nee Kryl); two daughters, Karen Alecci and her husband Anthony of Landing, and Cynthia Bhatia and her husband Raju of North Carolina; 7 grandchildren, Christina Adamski and husband Richard, Jennifer Alecci, Anthony Alecci, Katelyn Alecci, Michael Alecci, Mason Bhatia, and Peyton Bhatia; and his two pets, Kernel and Kayleigh.
