Charlotte Dora Barnes (nee Clemens) passed away Saturday afternoon, September 7, 2013 at Genesis/ Troy Hills Nursing Center in Parsippany. She was 93.
Born in Hardwick Utah, Mrs. Barnes was a longtime resident of Rhode Island before moving to Rockaway NJ 9 years ago.
She had worked as a writer with the Westerly Sun newspaper in Rhode Island for 36 years, retiring in 1986.
She was preceded in death by her husband Wallace Barnes in 2008, and a daughter, Edris Barnes in 1992..
Survivors include a son, William and two grandchildren.
Arrangements will be private at the family's request.
