Obituary of THOMAS J. DURAKO

Thomas J. Durako, 76, passed away Thursday morning, September 19, 2013 at St. Clare's Hospital in Denville following an extended illness. Born and raised in Ashley, PA, he was a resident of Passaic before moving to the Lake Hiawatha section of Parsippany in 1959. Mr. Durako had attended Wilkes Barre Business School and served in the U.S. Army Reserves for 6 years. He was employed as a printer with the Deluxe Check Printers Co. in Mountain Lake for 27 years, retiring 11 years ago. Mr. Durako was a member of St. Peter the Apostle R.C. Church, Parsippany and the Lake Hiawatha Seniors. He also enjoyed riding his Harley, Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Catherine "Kay" (nee Sinkiewicz); a daughter, Lisa Durako of Phoenix, AZ; a son, Thomas Durako and his wife Carla of Denville; his siblings, Andrew Durako, Marie Clark and Joan Stanko; four grandchildren, Daneen Milik, Chelsee Paiva, T.J. Durako and Harley Paiva; and two great-granddaughters, Malia and Avery Milik. in lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial gifts to the American Diabetes Association , 19 Schoolhouse Road, Somerset, NJ 08873.
