Anna M. Hernick (nee Pursell), 83, passed away suddenly Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013 at her home in Montville Township. Born in Springfield, she was raised in Warren Glen and had lived in Newark, Harrison, and Kearny before coming to Montville 2 years ago. Mrs. Hernick was a longtime office manager with Eagle Affiliates Co. in Harrison before her retirement 13 years ago. Survivors include her husband, Stephen J. Hernick, Jr.; four children, Janis Mangione and her husband John of Montville, Lynn Winograd and her husband Steven of Monmouth Beach, Stephen P. Hernick and his wife Gloria of Tewksbury, and Todd P. Hernick and his wife Mariluz of Saddle Brook; two sisters, Doris Purdy and Joyce Schauer; ten grandchildren, Danielle, Janine, Lisa, Joe, Stephanie, Christina, Nicole, Andrew, Samantha, and Giuseppe; and three great-grandchildren, Michal, Julia, and Anna. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Dick, Clarence, and Barry Pursell. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to The Montville Animal Shelter, 195 Changebridge Road, Montville, NJ 07045 (www.iGive.com/MONTSHELTER) in Anna's memory.
