Obituary of WILLIS LEE GROVE

Willis Lee Grove, known to all as "Buddy" passed away Sunday morning, November 17, 2013 at his residence in Parsippany. He was 81. Born and raised in Clarksburg, West Virginia, he had lived in Hackettstown and Denville before coming to Parsippany 12 years ago. Mr. Grove served in the New Jersey Army National Guard from 1947 through 1948. He later served in the U. S. Air Force from 1950 through 1957. He had been stationed in England and Korea. He had worked as a purchasing agent, most recently with Colonial Export Company of Whippany before retiring. He is survived by his loving wife Roberta J. "Bert" Grove (nee Bergstedt); four sons, William Frederick Grove, John Wesley Grove, Richard Lee Grove, and David Ross Grove; a step-daughter, Janet Ruth Grove; three siblings, Charles Grove, Polly Hjelt, and Ron Grove. He was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Grove in 2006. At Buddy's request all services will be private. Memorial gifts can be made to the charity of one's choice.
