Obituary of DONALD J. KRAEMER

Donald J. "Don" Kraemer, age 80, of Elkton, Florida died on December 14, 2013 at the Bailey Center for Caring in St. Augustine surrounded by his family. Don was born and raised in Newark, New Jersey. He was a veteran of the Newark Fire Dept. where he worked for 30 years, retiring as Captain in 1989. Don loved to be surrounded by his family and was always the life of the party. He was blessed to have many lifelong friends in the community that he grew up in. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, a loving father and grandfather, and a faithful friend. His is survived by his wife, Antonia "Toni" Kraemer of Elkton; his children, Donna Kraemer - Read (William), Deborah Colapinto, Donald Kraemer, Jr., David Kraemer (Jean Scheaffel), Doreen Kraemer, Deborah McCusker (Kevin), and Theresa McLaughlin (Robert); a brother, John Kraemer; three nieces, Rosemarie, Cindy and Kimberly Kraemer; a nephew, Daniel Kraemer; and his grandchildren, Leanna and Joe Urcinas, Keirsten Read, Jenafer, Jason, and Cara Colapinto, Shawn and Emily Kraemer, Caitlin and Patrick Welsh, Casey and Cayleigh McCusker, Morgan and Richard Cassidy and Lauren McLaughlin. He was preceded in death by a brother, Daniel, a sister, Dolores, and his first wife, Elizabeth.
