Ann Bridget Katilas, known as "Bird" died suddenly in her sleep, December 26, 2013 at her home in Parsippany. She was 52.
Born in Newark, she was raised in Sussex and had lived in Lake Parsippany since 1997.
Mrs. Katilas had a long career in banking. She was a vice president and branch manager of the Provident Bank in Parsippany. Previously she had worked with Valley National Bank and Lakeland Bank.
Bridget was a member of St. Christopher R.C. Church in Parsippany and the Parsippany Chamber of Commerce. She was active with the Parsippany Rotary Club where she served president, treasurer, and chairperson of the Tricky Tray for many years. She was a four-time Paul Harris Fellow and was named Rotarian of the Year. She was also a member of the Rotary District Bowling League.
Preceded in death by her husband John in 2004, Bridget is survived by three children, Margaret A. Schorling, Carl W. Schorling Jr. and his wife Jennifer, and Tim F. Schorling; eight siblings, Theresa Westberg, Roseanne Donahue-Beggs, Joseph Donahue, Jeremiah Donahue, Timothy Donahue, Trisha Carey, Daniel Donahue, and Max Donahue, and her beloved dog "Bea."
