Kathleen Eve Battista (nee Davis) passed away Wednesday morning, January 29, 2014 at Morristown Medical Center in Morristown in the presence of her family. She was 71.
Born in Hackensack, Mrs. Battista was raised in Lake Hopatcong, and lived in Stanhope before moving to Budd Lake many years ago.
She had worked as a registered nurse at the former Dover General Hospital in Dover before retiring.
She was a member and former board member of the Dawn Center Club of Denville.
Survivors include her son, Salvatore M. "Sal" Battista and his wife Ronda of Lake Hiawatha; three sisters, Joy Blitz of Texas, Margaret Pission of Tennessee, and Lyndra Watson of Florida; and three beloved grandchildren.
