Dr. Arwed Ralf Uecker passed away suddenly, Thursday, January 30, 2014 in St. Mary's, PA. He was 52.
Born in Frankfurt, Germany, he immigrated to the United States in 1993, settling in Farmville, VA. Most recently, he was a resident of Boonton.
Mr. Uecker earned his undergraduate degree and Ph.D in Physics from the Technical University of Darmstadt, Germany in 1990.
He was a Global Director of Research and Development with Mersen USA Bn Group of Boonton, where he had worked for the last 28 years.
Mr. Uecker was a dedicated member of the Lectorium Rosicrucianum: International School of the Golden Rosycross.
An avid traveler and photographer, he was also a member of the HUB Camera Club of Boonton.
Surviors include his loving wife, Teresa (nee Todynek) Uecker; two beloved children, Isolde Uecker, and Jan Uecker and his wife Maggie Waugh-Uecker all of Virginia; his parents, Roland O. and Friedgard (nee Diederichsen) Uecker of Germany; a brother, Ingo Uecker of Germany; and a sister, Renate Baschusng of Switzerland.
