Vita Alaimo (nee Santa Maria) passed away peacefully Monday evening, February 10, 2014 at the Troy Hills Nursing Center in Parsippany. She recently celebrated her 89th birthday.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, Mrs. Alaimo lived most of her life in Glendale, NY before coming to Parsippany, NJ in 2006.
Mrs. Alaimo was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Alaimo; and a brother, Dominic Santa Maria.
Survivors include her two daughters, Margaret Monaco of Whitehouse Station, and Mary Passler of Montville; two sisters, Angela Santa Maria of Bayside, NY, and Lorraine Maryes of St. Augustine, FL.; three granddaughters, Connie Guarnieri, Stephanie Keck, and Melanie Passler; and four great-grandchildren.
