My condolences to all Linda's family. She was taken from us too soon. I met her in '71, and after moving away in '73, did not see her again until we re-connected on Facebook. She was always smiling, always ready and willing to share a laugh with her delightful, off-center sense of humor. Linda will be missed by many.

I had the pleasure of working with Linda at Payless. She had an incredible work ethic and a great desire to always learn more so she could do her best. We could always count on Linda and we were very lucky to have her on our team. When I worked with Linda there were two things I knew would be a sure thing...that Linda would entertain me with a number of stories (mostly fond memories of recent events with her family) and that her amazing laugh (sure to be heard throughout the mall) would bring a smile to my face multiple times throughout my visit. We will always have great memories of Linda and she will always be missed. Her tremendous spirit lives on.

I first met Linda when nI started working at Payless. She was such an amazing person inside and out. I'm still in disbelief that she's gone. Linda and I had so many laughs and shared so much of our lives with each other making work our escape from all other problems. Her laugh and little snort still cracks me up, and how unbelievably open she was about everything with me, and how I was with her. I remember hearing her laugh echo throughout the store, and her cursing whenever she was angry, and consoling her when she was crying, her consoling me and always giving me the best advice and making me feel better. The countless laughter and shenanigans we pulled, I will never forget. I couldn't have asked for a better co-worker, and more importantly, friend. Linda will always be in my heart and in my prayers. Much love.

Linda was part of our extended family...She was a wonderful stepmother to my son Dan Leonard and a loving grandmother to Dan's girls and our granddaughters Alexia and Haley. We hadn't talked in quite a while and we were devastated and saddened by the news of her passing...We had the pleasure and it was "always a pleasure" to spend time with Linda from time to time through the years but most especially Thanksgivings spent with Linda and John and her brother Mark and his family at Dan's house. We all were testament to what family means by sharing the holiday like that...
Not a lot of people know this but Linda and I shared many a phone conversation through the years...We would go on forever talking about the fact that we "related" to so many things...We even "Skyped" from time to time". I can still hear her laughter at the stories we shared... Rest in Peace Linda...I know we will meet again someday. Our sincere condolences to John and all of Linda's family!

I FIRST MET LINDA IN 1968. I WAS SKATING ON THE POMD BEHIND HER HOUSE WITH SOME FRIENDS. WE WOULD BUILD FIRES ON THE HILL TO STAY WARM, AND LINDAS LAUGHTER WOULD ECHO ALL THE WAY UP TO HER HOUSE. I met Linda in the mid-70s when her daughter Kelly was only a very little girl. We became close friends, and I helped her and a whole crew of friends paint the outside of their two story house. I went over their for parties, friendly get togethers, and remember her talking to everyone, always smiling, always looked and seemed so happy. Sleep well my sweet friend, and rest in paradise where I hear the fishing is pretty good. I'm sure I'll be seeing you soon.

When I moved into the same building as Linda in 1991, she greeted me with that huge smile, wearing waders. She had just returned from a fishing trip and thus earned the nickname "Fish", which she used whenever she called or wrote. We were both Geminis and did nothing but laugh whenever we were together. I will miss you, friend. Rest in paradise.
