Obituary of KIRIT T. TAMAKUWALA

Kirit Tamakuwala, beloved son of Tansukhlal and Leelaben Tamakuwala, was born on November 2, 1947 in Surat, Gujarat, India. He was married to Rohini Tamakuwala and was the father of Neha Gandhi and the late Dr. Nilesh Tamakuwala. He was a devoted grandfather to Anjali, Anand, and Anika Gandhi. He was the second of seven children. His siblings are Minaxi Mehta, Harish Tamakuwala, Kishor Tamakuwala, Tarlika Shakhawala, Chetan Tamakuwala, and Kalpana Tambakuwala. He had a tireless work ethic, which took him to numerous places that included Goregaon West, Muscat, Qatar, Oman, Dubai, Absecon, NJ, Kingston, NY, Weehawken, NJ and finally retiring in Morris Plains, NJ. Kiritbhai had a warm, friendly personality and carried a natural presence that influenced everyone around him. He was a jack-of-all-trades and could fix just about anything - the ideal handyman - without any formal training. All of his children, nieces and nephews adored him and looked up to him with respect for guidance and advice. Kiritbhai Tamakuwala will be deeply missed and his memory will live on with everyone that knew him.
