Obituary of ROBERT I. PETTONI

Robert I. Pettoni, an "all-around incredible guy" passed away Thursday, May 29, 2014, on his Birthday, at Morris View Nursing Home in the presence of his family. He was 81. Born and raised in Newark, NJ, he was a longtime resident of Bloomfield, before moving to Silver Beach, NJ in 1996. Mr. Pettoni served proudly in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a Business Manager with the Local #77 in Bayonne for many years preceding his retirement in 1996. Bob was a former member of Unico National, and the Grace and Peace Church of Toms River. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be missed by his wife, Dolores M. (nee Stise); two sons, Robert Pettoni Jr and his wife Marie of Morris Plains, NJ, and Richard Pettoni of Boca Raton, FL., and two granddaughters, Olivia Noelle Pettoni and Danielle Renee Pettoni. At the familys request, calling hours and funeral services were held privately. Entombment was at Glendale Cemetery in Bloomfield.
