Marietta J. Chris (nee Pratola), 70, passed away Saturday evening, Dec. 13, 2014 at Compassionate Care Hospice in Dover.
Born in Newark, she was a longtime resident of Bloomfield before coming to Parsippany 9 years ago.
Mrs. Chris had worked in private child care in the Bloomfield area for many years before her retirement 10 years ago.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Martin J. Chris, a son, Anthony Sigari, and two brothers, Michael and Al Pratola.
Survivors include her daughter, Francine Czerepusko and her husband Joseph of Bloomfield, NJ, and Marty Christiango and his partner Eric Christiango of Parsippany. NJ, a brother, Donald Pratola; and 5 grandchildren, Anthony Sigari, Kristen and Joseph Czerepusko, and Joshua and Andrea Christiango.
Marietta had a passion for dogs. As such, the family requests that memorial gifts be made to your local chapter of the ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) in her memory.
