Richard W. Beck passed away suddenly, Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at his home in Parsippany. He was 67.
Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, he was a resident of Queens, NY before coming to Parsippany in 1986.
Mr. Beck served proudly in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War.
He earned his Bachelors Degree from Adelphi University, his Masters Degree from Hunter College, and a Post-Masters Degree from New York University. He was also working towards his Doctorate.
Mr. Beck worked as a social worker with the Veteran Administration Hospital at Lyons for the last 5 years. He had previously worked in the same capacity with the New York Health and Hospital Corporation. Some years earlier, Mr. Beck had worked for many years in sales.
Survivors include his two children, Brian Beck and his wife Camille of Parsippany, and Jodi Beck of Queens, NY; a brother, Larry Beck of Long Island, NY and a granddaughter, Aubrey. He will also be missed by his beloved dog, Meatball; and cat, Roy.
