Sister Regina Coll, 91, formerly Sister Regina Ellen, a Sister of Charity of Saint Elizabeth, died Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at Saint Anne Villa, Convent Station, NJ.
Sister Regina was born in Easton, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Thomas and Kathryn (Reilly) Coll. She entered the Sisters of Charity on September 8, 1944 and was a member for 70 years. She was predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Kathryn Coll, and her sisters, Dorothy Bilotti and Tereasa Coll.
Sister Regina graduated from the College of Saint Elizabeth, Convent Station, NJ with a B.S. degree in Elementary Education and from Seton Hall University, South Orange, NJ with a M.A. degree in Student Personnel Services. Sister Regina served as an educator and Guidance Counselor in the State of New Jersey and in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands. She served as a teacher at St. Stephen, Kearny; Sts. Peter and Paul, VI; St. Teresa, Summit; St. Joseph, Oradell; Sacred Heart, Jersey City and Holy Name, East Orange. She was a Guidance Counselor in East Orange Catholic High School, East Orange and Irvington; and Marylawn of the Oranges, South Orange. Sister Regina volunteered at St. Vincent Nursing Home, Cedar Grove. She moved to Saint Anne Villa, Convent Station in 2008 where she resided until her death.
She is survived by the Sisters of Charity; her sister, Mary Bolash (George), two nieces, a nephew, grandnieces, grandnephews and a great grandniece.
