Obituary of JENNIE M. OMBALDO

Jennie M. Ombaldo, a beloved friend to many, passed away suddenly Wednesday morning, January 21, 2015 at her home in Parsippany. She was 86.
Born in Belleville, she had lived in Bloomfield before coming to Parsippany in 1952.
Mrs. Ombaldo had worked as a seamstress in Bloomfield and Parsippany for many years. She was also employed with her family-owned business, the former Montalbano's Restaurant of Parsippany.
Later in life, she earned her Associates Degree in Social Studies from the County College of Morris.
Mrs. Ombaldo was an active parishioner at St. Peter the Apostle R.C. Church in Parsippany where she was a CCD teacher and had volunteered to knit the Christening Bibs for over 25 years. She was also a volunteer with the Parsippany Board of Elections for 30 years.
Mrs. Ombaldo was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur; a son, Joseph; her parents, Charles and Margaret Montalbano; and two brothers, Emmanuel and Salvatore (Sam) Montalbano.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews, and a host of very dear friends. Jennie will be remembered as a kind, loving, and fiesty woman; with a zest for life and dancing!
